I think previous reviewers have missed the point. The book is written in the style Ronnie (thinks/speaks) this suits the reality of life undercover.
Extremely revealing and shocking, why on earth would anyone work under cover with one arm tied behind their back.
Thankgod I read this!!!!!!!! - Rated
The reason for my title : I was thinking of joining the police force, but thanks to Ronnie`s honesty in the book, he as put me off for life.
A fantastic read, I couldn`t put the book down. Ronnie I cant wait for your next one.
FANTASTIC!!!! Well Done Ronnie - Should be made into a Film! - Rated
What an excellent read, I have been looking for a good read in ages and this was it! I highly recommended it if you have a police background and you'll probably be shouting and swearing at the last couple of chapters as I was! It is so sad that people in sat in suits with no real experience on the front line can make such stupid decisions.
Hope Ronnie is still doing some good now. :-)
Oh dear...... - Rated
Bought this after reading a review in the paper, however, after a few pages I soon discovered the book was not up to much. It is very poorly written and as shallow as it gets. He does not go into any detail, instead opts to rant on randomly about how much of a great cop he is, and how much of a hard man he thinks he is. However, he just comes across as a thug full of self-importance.
I've never given up on a book , however, I came close with this one but persevered hoping it would improve, but it never did....I wouldn't be far off the mark by labelling it `truly awful'.

At best an average book. Whilst I am sure Ronnie got into some comprimising situations he never really goes into enough depth to keep the readers attention. Characters are developed enough for you to really care what happens to them. Also disappointing was the acknowledgement that it is ok to be a burglar as long as your a grass as well. Sorry to say disappointed with this book.
