A well-researched book that offers a timeless message few people seem to want to heed: that to end terrorism as we know it, we need to fix the problem areas of the world where terrorists hide and breed - and for the most part, this can't be done via the barrel of a gun. In many cases this non-fiction book reads much like the fictional 'Days Captive', a novel so condensed and tart it's like spooning concentrated orange juice into your mouth.

Both books use facts (not patriotic hyperbole) to demonstrate how terrorism has been reduced in the past and how it can be reduced today. The only problem is that most people choose to take the short-term satisfaction of revenge and anger to solve the problem, which, as history has shown us time and again, only inflames it.

Regardless of where you stand in the 'War on Terror', this book should be a part of your education.
