Not an edge of your seat Patterson novel... - Rated 3/5
but I still enjoyed it. Okay, so it is a bit twee and girly, but I'm a girl so I'm allowed to emerse myself in sentimental stories every now and again. This story has all the right works for a B movie - 'lonely eight year old girl's best friend is Michael, her invisable/imaginary adult friend, who she continues to carry a torch for into her adult life...Think of this story as a romantic version of Drop Dead Fred and that pretty much sums it up.

Not his normal "can't put it down" book - Rated 3/5
Well this book was an okay read, and I did enjoy it, but I must say it's not his best. I did wonder if the co-author had more of a hand in it than Patterson himself, as I don't feel it came up to his usual standard of writing. It left lots of questions unanswered and didn't really grip me. Having said all that it's still worth a read, but I would probably wait for it on paperback rather than go to the expense of buying it in hard back.

HE CAN TURN HIS HAND TO ANYTHING - Rated 4/5
No this isn't his usual but what an author that he can change styles so completely! This is a great 'feel good' book, something ideal to curl up on the couch with on a wet and windy weekend. You care about the people in the book and get a warm feeling when things work out in the end! I am glad he doesn't write like this all the time because his thrillers are brilliant but it is great to see him diversify.

Fantastic - Rated 5/5
I read this book one Sunday afternoon! What a lovely story!! I am a huge fan of James Patterson and have read them all but this is probably my all time favourtite.

Sunays at Tiffanys - Rated 5/5
This is the first of James Pattersons romance novels that I have read. I think it is an excellent read. It is told with heartwarming compassion and there are moment to make you laugh and cry. I really enjoyed this book and compared to the 'chick lit' novels I have read in the past this is a grown up tale of soulmates. Well written and heartwarming. A highly recommened read.
