Fantastic Book! Buy it, it will change your life!!! - Rated
It has only been one week since I finished reading the book and started to listen to the cd and already I feel like a different person. In the past few years I've yo-yo dieted and gone from being 10st to over 13st then back down, back up, back down etc. and have been a real binge eater of chocolate, cakes and pizza. In addition I've had anxiety/depression issues and haven't felt I'm good enough. Reading this book has given me real confidence in myself, and in this first week I have dropped 4lbs and have completely enjoyed eating in this new way and haven't had any chocolate cravings at all, which is all I've ever thought about with previous diets. This is definitely more of an eating plan for life rather than a quick fix, but that is good because this is what I've wanted - to be healthy inside and out, and for it to be something I can maintain, and it is very easy to follow. There is no specific diet plan, only guidelines, and to be honest it isn't a struggle and it is nice to put my needs and those of my body first for a change.
Like another reviewer I had planned not to do this until a month or so down the line however I too cannot recommend this book highly enough, so had to write a review now. If you have problems with overeating and food in general, or have yo-yo dieted for years this is the book for you!
Honestly, this is the best £6 i have ever spent on anything, and believe me I have spent a fortune over the years on various slimming products, or slimming clubs. Give it a go!!!
Marisa - thank you so much for getting me on the right track and for the first time in my adult life being in control of what I eat rather than it controlling me!!

Ive been seriously overweight for about six years and go through times of successfully losing weight, but the snacks and chocolate and crisps always creep in. This book has really challenged how much I believe I want to lose weight when im snacking on junk food. I currently have to lose weight for medical reasons and this book has helped me rethink the food I eat. I haven't even used the CD yet.
The lower rating reviews for this book have commented on cutting out food groups. Marisa explains the food our body was intented to eat. Cutting out wheat isn't cutting out all carbs. And into the book it does state that goats cheese is easier for our bodies to digest. Ive read the one star review of this book and the author doesn't mention anything about changing your attitude to food which for me was the key concept of this book.
AbFab!!! a couple of days in I have changed my whole thinking about food!!!! - Rated
I bought the book on the strength of the reviews, just on a whim really. I had been feeling lethargic and not really feeling in control or inspired by anything since Christmas. In short, I felt quite negative about a lot of things and had been told that what I had been eating may be affecting my mood. I don't really know why I bought the book initially because I am not overweight but have turned into a couch potato. Anyway when I read the book it just made so much sense that I started making changes immediately. Then I listened to the CD and it is excellent I am up in the mornings Happily, I am planning out Healthy daily menus for the whole family, I have started jogging again and telling myself that I love it . I have energy and in a really positive mood. I feel brilliant. I regularly fall asleep to the CD and I wake up feeling positive about the next day and I love the food I am eating. Marisa's voice is sooo relaxing!!!!!!!

I have only just received this book this morning and have read the first 20 or so pages. The message is such a simple one. You have the choice to eat what you want to eat. I got hungry just before dinner, my mind turned instantly to bread and cheese (it always does) but instead I tucked into a banana (which I've not eaten for ages as another detox diet said not to eat them... silly isn't it?) and a handful of almonds. I quickly felt full and happy. Happy because I don't feel guilty about eating fat laden food which inevitably used to make me reach for the crisps and chocolate in the cupboards... all the kind of stuff you know is not good but just for a moment makes you feel better - until the guilt steps in and the vicious circle begins again.
I recommend this book to everyone out there who wants a thinner and healthier lifestyle. I have another book on order for my sister.
I want to eat well and want to be healthy and I really think that this programme will guide me. Anyway got to go now... taking my gorgeous pup out for a run round the park!
Blown away...amazing!!!! - Rated
Firstly I have to say, that I have only had the book a week and I was originally going to review it after a month or so to see how I got on, but instead, I'll review it now and add an update in the future. Secondly I have to say, I was sceptical when I started to read this, I am not someone who falls for any speech given to me, I am very guarded and at times I can be closed minded, I didn't think this book would work, but I decided to give it a go, so this review is coming from someone who is not easily led and I certainly don't normally go for positive thinking all the time, personal life has shown me that doesn't work...anyway...on with the review.
I ordered this book with two others and it was by pure chance that I read this one first, and I am so glad I did. (the others are untouched now). As soon as I read the first page, it was like I realised there was a very real and almost scary possiblity that my destructive relationship with food was going to come to an end for the first time in 11 years.
Every word that Marisa says makes perfect sense and I even found myself bawling when she stated that I have basically been abusing my body for years with the rubbish I've been eating. Which is right, I was married to a man who made me feel euphoric for a few minutes, and in the gutter the next. I was depressed, sad, hated myself and I was fat. I got rid of him, so why have I accepted the same emotional turmoil from food all these years??? The answer is right here in this book. I really feel that Marisa has managed to make sense of an age old problem that we face everyday and she has given a solution that makes perfect sense and is completely 'do-able'. What I like even more is that she isn't some size 0 (never had so much as one fat cell) celebrity Doctor who is spouting what she 'believes' is right, she has been where we all are.
She talks about certain foods and how they should ideally be cut out from your diet if possible, but she doesn't make you feel that if you don't you will fail. This book is all about thinking about what you are doing, and making choices. Sounds like american psychobabble rubbish right? Well it's not. I can't possibly begin to explain how this book has changed things for me, even at this early stage, so you will just have to read it for yourself.
If you have struggled for years to overcome the rush that food provides, only to feel guilty and deflated after, read this book. If you have ever started a diet with all the best intentions only to have piled it back on again and more, then read this book. This is not a book with menus in, it does not instruct you what to eat on certain days, this is not to turn you into a robot that must follow Marisas menu or you will fail, this is about you dealing with the issues you have with food, turning them on there head and being in control of you having a great life. Free from addiction to junk food. Free from the guilt and self loathing after the daily blowout of awful foods. Free from the obsessive thoughts of food on your mind constantly. Free to take it or leave it. Free to be who and what you want to be. It doesn't get any better than that.
This book will not be a miracle cure if you don't read it and believe it, it won't make you think and change your ways if you have closed your mind and you believe that you have no trouble with food. Pointless argument, or else, why would you be buying the book.
This for me is the book of the millenium. Already I feel better, I'm not bloated and even better, I turned down pizza the other day without even thinking. I am even going to one of her seminars and I am so excited at the bright future I can see because of this book.
Please read it, you'll be so glad you did.
P.S. The hypnosis CD is fantastic, don't know how it works, it just does.
Ok, I'll shut up now.
Watch this space!!!
