A good but rather dry summary. - Rated
This book covers a large variety of different weapons, the most interesting chapters being on rocketry and aviation. Quirky weapons are also covered like the giant but impractical gun 'Gustav' and Dr. Zippermeyer's Whirlwind Cannon. The short chapter on wartime nuclear and chemical weapon development in Germany is both scary and revealing. However for me there is a little too much emphasis on artillery; the book goes into painful detail about the design and exact specifications of shells and rifling techniques, and in these areas is very dry and overly technical. Some nice photos but could have done with more.

A reprint of a former edition.The autor gives a concise but full review of all the german secret weapons either utilized or just under project.Hard to read if you don't know the basic concepts of applied physics.Lots of technical descriptions in deep details.Just a few b/w photos but enough drawings.Advisable reading if you're interested in the technical aspects of warfare.
