Was good but now past it's best - Rated I first bought this book almost 20 years ago and was delighted with it. It really helped me get going. Having lost my old copy and decided to have another go I was delighted to see it had been re published as recently as 2003 so I went ahead and bought it again. I was very disappointed to see that very little updating has been done, no mention of the internet for research, no web addresses given and much of the content very dated, to a point of being misleading. Okay for the absolute beginner but well off the mark for modern radio control. There has to be better. Excelent concise to the point book. - Rated Very well written and ideal for beginners like me. Covers every thing you need to know and leaves out all the rubbish you dont need to know. Thinking of Radio Controll? - Rated A reasonable book for anyone wanting to get into Radio Controlled boats. The book is well presented with its chapters on installing R/C into different classes, ie Scale, Sail, etc. It does lack some finer detail on items such as motor supression, but does advice in other areas that you may not have considered when installing R/C equipment.
