Age 3 and over

. The Little Mole Who Knew it Was None of His Business is, quite simply, one of the funniest books you are ever likely to read (as long as you are not easily offended, that is!), with its unusual take on a natural bodily function combined with a simple tale of nature and discovery.

When the little mole of the title discovers a pile of, well, pooh, on his head, he is absolutely certain that it doesn't belong to him, but sets out on a mission to discover who exactly the culprit really is. His investigation takes him into the world of many animals, as he wanders and compares the pile on his head to the piles that animals leave behind them.

Outrageously funny, this cracking little book is an absolute delight and not only gives children the chance to talk about one of their favourite topics for discussion, but is also an intriguing way of introducing the idea of a nature trail, taking them on a trip that will leave them both laughing and learning.

Perfect for children,of course, but if you are stuck for gift ideas for the adults in your life you may need to look no further. --Susan Harrison

Customer Reviews

Not too good for the targeted audince... but still hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Rated 5/5
One bright morning, the Little Mole woke up and looked up out of the ground when something landed on his head. Follow him as he journeys along to find out who left their business on his head. He also finds out different types of other animals', like bird poop, hare droppings, a horse's dung, cow muck and pig pooh...
Will he find the culprit of the villain that did his work on Little Mole's head?

This book is informative but at the same time very hilarious! I would rate this book 9.5/ 10 and would recommend it to children 4 - 6 years of age even though the subject is not very appropriate and I think that parents my not actually approve of it.

Hysterical - Rated 5/5
This has to be one of the funniest book I have ever read. Although I don't know how appropriate it is for kids, it must definitely be a favourite. It's basically the story of a mole who awoke one morning to find a pooh on his head! The whole story is about tying to find the culprit and gives some interesting insights into the bodily functions of different animals. You have to read it - it is sure to make you giggle!!

Best kids story ever... - Rated 5/5
My Mrs picked this book up in a charity store - probably the same one the Mr A. Customer dropped his off at - and I found it to be the best kids story, by far, that I've ever read.

In a nutshell Mr Mole sticks his head out of his hole one day and a naughty creature unloads its bowels onto his head... the mystery of Who Dunnnit ensues!

My 6year old loved it... My 2week old doesn't like it so much, but I don't think that's the book's fault.

Buy it... read it till it falls appart and then buy it again!!

Loved by children of all ages. - Rated 5/5
I bought this book several years ago and it is still a firm favourite with my children aged 7 and 5. As a teacher, I have read it to many more children and they all enjoy it. I recently bought 'The Mole Who Went in Search of Whodunnit' thinking it was a different, though similar, book. To my surprise, as it wasn't mentioned anywhere on amazon, it is exactly the same book only in hardback. I am keeping the book, as a hardback version will survive longer in the classroom, but I was disappointed with this.

Brilliant Book! - Rated 5/5
My son is autistic and is rather a reluctant reader. However, like all little boys he loves to hear about "naughy" things so I just knew that this book was for him. It is also interactive in that it has lots of pull tabs to make the cut outs "do" things. He LOVES this book. The subject matter may not be desirable but if it makes a reluctant reader WANT to read, then is is a brilliant book. Well worth the purchase!
