NOT all I needed to know!!! - Rated
Having read the other reviews I had great expectations of this book and was bitterly disappointed.
The author wrote very much from her own perspective and did not give detailed information on areas which would be genuinely useful e.g. Geographic locations in Australia, Information on getting a job (e.g. I expected to see trends and industries represented by area).
There was potentially useful information on taxation but most of the book was not useful at all - a whole section on slang - what a waste!!
If you are going to settle somewhere you need more than just one unsubstantiated view on a country! I am sure there are books out there which provide a more balanced and in depth view point based on actual research the author has carried out.

Since buying this book a few weeks back I think I've read it two or three times (re-reading subsets at various times).

The amount of information provided for the price is impressive compared to some other books on the subject. The different types of visa are discussed along with qualification requirements. There's also a good variety of tips on the cost of living in Aus with an overview of tax implications.
