By its cover... - Rated It does exactly what it says on the tin : its a guidebook for 8 scandinavian and baltic cities - nothing less and nothing more. I bought this guidebook for a weekend trip to Tampere / Helsinki so I can only base my comments on that section of the book and I only bought it as there were no other recent guidebooks to Finland. Pros : Recent publication so reasonably up-to-date. Easy to read and nice format. Cons : No pictures and the maps are pretty rubbish - single large scale map of each town with none of the hotels and restuarants shown. Any sights in a city are listed within the description of the 'burb they are in rather than on their own - which makes for a lot of frustrating flicking backwards and forwards to find stuff. Overall : OK. Good for (older) people who would weekend away to these places but not the serious traveller. Otherwise buy it if you think you will visit more than one of the destinations in it - otherwise I would recommend getting the specific guidebook.
