Midsummer Meeting - Rated I have just read 'Midsum,mer Meeting' by Elvi Rhodes. This is her 14th book, every one of which I have read and enjoyed. This too is a really good read, and, as usual, the characters are well-rounded, the research is well done, there is joy and sadness, laughter and tears, and the plot moves at a good pace to a rather surprising denouement in the last chapters - altogether a book worth buying, and at such a bargain price too! A great book which is hard to put down. - Rated I enjoy the style of Elvi Rhodes anyway and have eagerley awaited this her latest book. I was not to be disappointed. She develops the main character, Petra, brilliantly and gradually unravels the story of her past. This all takes place whilst she tells the story of Petras present life too. She also develops other characters wonderfully so that you are keen to know how their lives progress too.
