Each biography is told in an entertaining and informing way that gives a great insight into the diverse and enthralling lifestyles. The book is not isolated to one era and spans the best pugilists from the bare-knuckle age through the golden era and on to the modern day incorporating all the many changes both in the ring and out.
The best thing about the way this work is compiled is that the author hasn't limited himself to the recognised champions of history and has recognised those that never got the chance at a world title but were truly incredible individuals.
The book is well researched and has called upon some of the better writers on the fight game and the many opinions that surround boxing. A fantastic addition to any boxing fan or sports enthusiast's collection.
