Simply Incredible - Rated You are gripped from page 1 with fascinating accounts of life from all aspects of the world of medicine. Always returing to the main theme of what it takes to make processes, procedures 'better'. Written in clear precise English it is an engaging read that asks difficuly questions and then shows what it takes to raise the bar to the next level. What a book! Honest and engaging - Rated I came across a review of this book in the Sunday papers. It is one of this years best finds for me. It's beautifully written and hooks you right from the start. The book is studded with real insights and ends with with personal advice that anyone can apply. His discoveries become ours. It's a delight. This is not a dry or lecturing book but a good read I will return to because of it's honesty. I have already passed on several copies. This is just a great book! - Rated I loved it, and I loved Gawande's previous book. It's a gripping read and manages to be uplifting, fascinating and humbling whilst also giving you an uncomfortable jolt about your own performance. Even if you have nothing to do with medicine - and I don't - there's so much to ponder on here. Highly recommended.

I came across a review of this book in the Sunday papers. It is one of this years best finds for me. It's beautifully written and hooks you right from the start.
