This is the most succinct book I have ever read that demystifies the complex aspect of relationships of all kinds - with your family, friends, colleagues, lover, and possibly more importantly with yourself. It is such an easy read with clear understandable examples that I actually didn't fully absorb what it was saying first time but subsequently have re-read and re-read the book many times. Each time it helps to bring clarity again. This is a absolutely must have book on the road of spirituality.

As with his other book, The Four Agreements, this is a very rich feast of metaphor and understanding of our very human conditions and the kinds of ways in which we need to heal. He is so lucid and insightful in his writing-the hitch, of course, is in the doing. I really think this is a masterpiece.

Concrete tools and powerful clarity in a compact book - Rated

This title is the first self-help book I've come across in a long time which not only provided amazing clarity regarding the mind's programming, but also gave me a concrete tool with which I honestly feel I can now un-do the negative programming I have that has plagued me for years. Naturally, a tool cannot do the work for me; it is up to the individual to apply the tool consistently. Nevertheless, the book gave me a clear understanding of the nature of our programming, what exactly one is up against and how to fight it. I feel as if I finally received the magic key I was hunting for or the missing piece of the puzzle. And you can imagine how good that feels! I was so impressed by this book that I bought The Four Agreements, which is the previous book by the same author, and I find that this too provides graspable, concrete tools that, if applied, would eliminate vast amounts of unnecessary suffering for ourselves as well as for those around us. What is also impressive is that both books convey such profound wisdom with asounding simplicity and clarity. Just like when the light bulb goes on for us and, in retrospect, a concept we once struggled with seems so simple, these books cut through the fog with laser precision. I heartily recommend them both, especially to those searching in earnest.
