The book that changes lives - Rated 
When I first got this book, it was sitting on the shelf for about five years before I was in the right state of mind to begin working with it. When I did finally get to working with it, I was faced with a problem out of which I had no clue how to get out, so I gave my best shot to this book. I was totally, wholeheartedly committed to working with it and the results paid off beyond my wildest dreams. I have read many helpful book in my lifetime, but none has such a profound and lasting effect as this one.
Working with A Course in Miracles never ends, but the most dramatic changes I have experienced were during that first year, when my perception and experience of the world turned on its head and the world, my relationship to it, my experience of the world, has permanently changed.
It's been 11 years since that time, but A Course in Miracles is still alive and well in my mind.
There are people who have picked this book, invested half-hearted attempt in working with it and who got seemingly nothing out of it. Unless you're willing to invest yourself wholeheartedly in working with A Course in Miracles, it's unlikely you'll experience the promises of the book.
Sometimes people join groups and go on asking others for advice as to how they should work with this book. All the instructions are in this book. There is no one on the outside who will help you to get through the Course. This is an inner journey and to travel it successfully, you have to be willing to travel deep within - not with parts of you holding onto the outer world. Only when you are completely willing to drop the outside, will you make it to the other side, in this inner journey. The treasures are hidden deep within. Dive in and discover the wonders that are hidden within you.
A book for study - Rated 
I bought this book after reading Tara Singh's commentary on it in A Gift For Mankind.A Course In Miracles is however a book that requires study. There are gems in it but it can be hard going at times. If you are willing to seriously
concentrate on the readings, then it's well worth it but it isn't a book to just dip into
A rope in the dark that leads to Heaven - Rated
This course is a phenomenon which has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. It was written down by a woman named Helen Schucman who, in 1965, heard a voice say "This is a Course in
Miracles, please take notes". The manual states that this is a special form of the universal course. There are many thousands of other forms, all with the same outcome. It states the Holy Spirit speaks to people
in a language and form that they can understand. This is a step by step curriculum that leads from separation back to oneness with God. It is a course in mind healing, in learning to listen to our own Internal
Counsellor, the Holy Spirit. Here are a couple of its concepts:
In order to remember God in Whom IS our true identity, (in order to return to Him) we must engage in the practice of being loving to one another, no one excluded. For God's love has no exceptions. Only by loving totally can we know the total love that is God. The effect of loving our brothers is to bring our thinking back into accord with how God created us to think. It entails an undoing of the old insane thinking that led us away from God in the first place, which sets us back in the direction of Home.
It teaches that as we give, we will receive to the same measure. If we reject one person we will believe God has rejected us. If we give unconditional love we will know we are loved unconditionally. What we chose to have in our mind is what we experience. Release another from his prison and we open our own prison door.
It tells us that to remember love and God and out true identity we need 'Forgiveness', a process of our mind whereby we relinquish grievances and competetiveness and are healed of guilt & fear that resulted from such unnatural thinking. If God is love, eternal & infinite and He created us in His likeness, then forgiveness is justified. It has a true foundation. There is that of God in everyone.And our task, if we would be saved, is to look beyond darkness, error and barriers, and look only upon the light of God in each person. This is to remove the blocks to the awareness of love's presence. This is to correct our perceptions and to restore our sight. It is a coming to the realization that we
have been mistaken about God's creation. It is to forgive our mistake and to lift the blind we'd closed to stop God's light shining on and through us.
We need to be merciful and patient with ourselves in the process of undoing our false foundations. We invested a lot of effort in our unnatural habits and now need to exert effort in relearning our natural habits. There are 365 lessons to facilitate the unearthing every fear to allow the light to shine them away. A miracle, as defined here, is different to what most people think of a miracle. A miracle is natural. It is an experience we have when we are in our right mind as God created us. This is a course in mind healing. A course in remembering God.
Atonement is the goal. At-One-Ment of Creator and Creation.

This book is the beginning of the end. This spiritual text is by far the best (and worst) thing to happen to me. Given in it's own words describing its self as radical, it has the ability to turn everything you ever believed into a mist of obscurity, by this I mean it goes against the grain, and so do you should you embark on this awakening the book describes.
Beautifully written, very uplifting, very new age, although subscribers to this material would not like that label. It does at time get a bit biblical, which is fine if you can roll with such punches, stick with it though because this book in my opinion, is the new bible.
If you can muster the patience to start this book and read it straight through, you will get an insight into the thinking of a `higher mind' at work. If you were to take all the great philosophers of the beginning of time till now and were to ask them if they agreed with my assessment, in my humble opinion, they would. And now I'm going to find a quote from a film...."Look, all I'm asking, is for you to just have the tiniest bit of vision. You know, to just sit back for one minute and look at the big picture. To take a chance on something that just might end up being the most profoundly impactful moment for humanity, for the history... of history." ...this my brother, was part of a speech written by Carl Sagan, the guy who inspired Stephen Hawking...but for many reasons, some obvious, some obscure, very fitting to describe this book I think.
If you start the awakening process...I hope you stick with it...ACIM is the source...it will change your life...I swear to God...
A Classic of Modern Spirituality - Rated
A Course in Miracles is a classic in modern spirituality. Many modern spiritual writers draw on the clear wisdom found within its precious pages, and I recommend these works to anybody who contemplates the meaning of life and love.
