Good basic information - Rated I've been boxing 6 months now, and I think this book has good hints and information for beginners. For example how to move right and how to throw a punch right, combinations, how to practise with a heavy bag, defense etc. But the boxings history chapter was useless, I would like to read about boxing skills etc. not history of boxing.. A great place to start! I loved it! - Rated I've been involved in the sweet science for about 10 years. As a youngstser I competed as an amateur. Later, as an adult a boxing instructor. The author is a weekend warrior who goes through the regimen of boxing training, and recounts it in great detail in his book. He doesnt go too deeply into competition boxing, but he does give the reader a good starting point to begin training. Don't waste your money! - Rated Find a gym and learn to box. this book was a waste! I've been boxing professionally for 3 years and this book was not at all helpful.
