Sporting Peugeot 205s in Britain - Rated
Nicely illustrated book, mostly black and white (but some colour) photos. Fairly complete treatment of the subject, although I wish a little bit more had been written about the British market vs French market and the diesel models (there is a short 2 page section on the turbo diesel). The reasoning for little discussion of the diesels is doubtless because they are not "Sporting" models, although their inclusion would help us better understand this mercurial car.
Overall, very pleased to have purchased this fine little edition.

As Dave is the former editor of the Peugeot Sport Club's (now Peugeot Sport Official Owners Club) magazine called Torque, he is in the best position to write a definitive reference on this modern classic. As others have said, it provides a source of information and answers many of the 205 urban myths (like there are only 300 limited edition Miami Blue 205s with full leather) and covers the models that were created by third parties such as Dimma and Turbo Technics. The foreign models such as the Griffe are also included and limited editions like the 1FM. If you have a 205, and are an enthusiast, then you need this book!

This is a great book for the enthusiast. It has brilliant pictures and information. Best of all it's not overwordy... it just lets us motor maniacs know what we want to know. Brief and to the point... it's one of those books you'll keep pulling off the shelf for that little bit of information you know you're not going to find anywhere else.
