An excellent introductory guide to the human anatomy - Rated
This book represents a useful progression from the second edition, having rectified the errors which were present. The information within the book is laid out in an easily accessible and understandable manner, whilst the book is complimented perfectly as a learning tool by the CD ROM which is included with it. Within the CD ROM there are a number of interactive learning exercises, ranging from wordsearches to practice essay questions, which make this book a more all round learning resource. All in all a good textbook.
Let's hope ITEC find a different source book for A&P soon! - Rated
This book is worse than poor, the number of mistakes and omissions not to mention the misinformation makes me believe that this text has not been proof-read at all. Only buy it if you're studying for the ITEC in Holistic Massage and even then make sure you've got another book on A&P and a good teacher.
Very good introductory book - Rated
As someone with no prior knowledge of anatomy and physiology I found this to be a clear and concise introduction, it answered most of my questions as my course progressed.
I'm not sure about higher levels, but I would recommened it to other students new or fairly new to the subject.

Like every Loise Tucker book I've needed, it has plenty of errors and missing information. When the tutor has brought this to the attention of ITEC the response apparently could be summed up as tough.
The syllabus for ITEC courses appears to be based on this and other Louise Tucker books and you have to learn it regardless of it's accuracy. So do buy this book so you learn to pass your ITEC exam and then buy a proper one. The DK human body book is a good one.
Only useful for taking ITEC exam - Rated
I bought this book solely for the purpose of taking my ITEC exams. The only purpose it suits to refer to and take note of what ITEC believe to be the correct answers on the subject. It's full of mistakes and typing errors. It's annoying that this is the standard ITEC students are working to, many of the students work very hard to learn this subject in depth, only to be tested against something like this. I also studied using The Human Body by Martyn Page (Dorling Kindersley) and The Concise Book of Muscles by Chris Jarmey, both of which are very useful.
