Customer Reviews

Ethical Shopping - Where to Shop, What to Buy & What to Do.. - Rated 5/5
An excellent book providing a list of shops where I can buy products that have not been made by children or in sweatshops. It also shows the shops who do not care about the conditions their products are made in developing countries. It also explains Fair trade and Ethical Trading.

Shopping Ethically - Rated 4/5
We all know of large brand oriented corporations who have blatently flaunted the fundamental human rights of their employees in the past. But these discrepencies have had little influence on the buying patterns of the majority of consumers.

This book provides a new breed of ethically discerning consumers, the ability to see which retailers are taking supply chain ethics into their everyday business strategies. An aid to making informed purchasing decisions it rates retailers by the contents of their ethical codes and retailer type.

Additionally the book provides an introduction to ethical trade issues as well as fairtrade programmes and product marks to look out for.
