Interesting - Rated I found the content of this book interesting and informative. not sure about some of the content but its an emotive subject and full with hearsay or information from someone who knows someone else. Abduction with Mailce also looked at the subject but followed one girl into this world. For those interested in finding out more you should look at this book The Natasha's - Rated This book is both brilliant and disturbing at the same time. it is a difficult read and should leave you feeling uncomfortable. For those working within this sphere - it is well written and offers detail and facts. For those new to the subject be prepared to be shocked and upset. staggering - Rated This book conveys starkly the sheer scale and brutality of sex trafficking and quite how helpless its victims are. And it's happening in your country, no matter where you live. I would have given it more stars if it finished with more resources in the final chapter. You will finish this book sickened and wanting to help, and it should end with a list of the courageous organisations that are trying to fight the corruption, bureaucracy and greed that fuel this horrible trade. Instead there is a rant and a few rhetorical questions. Also he hasn't covered the huge scale of trafficking across Asia and Africa - yet the title of the book is "the new global sex trade". The focus seems to be mainly on (Eastern) Europe and the Middle East. However - this book needed to be written. Well done to him!
