A total waste of time - Rated Trying to follow the route from the pathetic maps in this book is impossible sitting in front of a PC with high powered mapping software in front of me; on the road it would be worse than impossible. Buy an alternative if you want to get to the other end. A benchmark cycling guide? - Rated I haven't actually tried following the route directions in this book yet - which is why I've only given it 4 stars. But from what I've seen so far this is an excellent cycling guide. It is very well written, informative and engaging and gives a real sense that the author knows what he is talking about. It is also a nice object - well designed and illustrated. Real effort has been put into producing a really good little book. It puts the authors of most other cycling guides to shame.

I haven't actually tried following the route directions in this book yet - which is why I've only given it 4 stars. But from what I've seen so far this is an excellent cycling guide. It is very well written, informative and engaging and gives a real sense that the author knows what he is talking about. It is also a nice object - well designed and illustrated.
