One of the best books EVER!! - Rated
(WRITTEN BY MY 14 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER)This is the sequel to Stephanie Meyers beautiful and deeply moving TWILIGHT.
I couldn't put this book down. Stephanie Meyer has captured bella's feelings so beautifully that at points in the book i found myself welling up. The book, though not as good, in my opinion, as the first, still gets five stars, due to the fact that everything seems so real. The way she has described Bella's predicament (Edward has left her) just seems so realistic. The plot is fast paced, and when you think you have sussed it out, it changes, and you are left wondering what happens.
However, half way through the book, there is a point when Bella started to hang around with Jacob, that i felt that the book was dragging on a bit, but then, as i said, the plot turns around and you are left wondering again.
I have recommended this to all my friends and they agree with me, that this is one of the best written books of all times. i have read, and re-read this book too many times to count. definatley in my top ten reading list!!!
The Best of the Twilight Series!- - Rated
I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with this book, as the first one quite dissappointed me! I mean come on, a maximum pf a page of romantic description is fine, but like 3 pages of lovey-dovey fluff just did my head in! I'm all for the passion yo, but i was getting bored just reading about how the "divine edward cullen" looked!
Anyhoo, New Moon was amazing, it showed me that there was hope for this series after all! The only flaw was how incredibley cruelly my fave jacob was treated! I felt for him so much, he is like the inly genuine and believeable chaaracter in the book! my heart was aching for him, as that selfish bella broke his heart. hes way 2 good 4 her! i just don't understand what it is about bella that makes everyone love her so much! shes just a selfish brat 2 me.
Edward isn't any better, he is one lame excuse of a vampire! sheesh, wheres the edge, the mystery, the qualities that make him believeable? Hes just a pretty boy.
It was also good cos edward was gone for most of the book, so we could see more of the action, not pukesome lurve parts! the werewolves were introduced, they gave the book an extra edge and upped the excitement value.
Eclipse is on the way, i'm all mixed emotion s on that, but i predict that new moon will still be the best!!!
Heart BREAKER. - Rated
I absoultly love this series, this book was amazing, not quite as good as Twilight, but it still touched me heart, and head me very close to tears, I did miss Edward though.
I cannot wait for Eclipse.
*****.
Page turning - Rated
luckily i had this book already waiting for me when i finished twilight. read it in 2 days. as in the first, probably even more so, Stephenie Meyer has conveyed the pain of the characters with such reality that it feels as though everything is happening to you and not to the characters. many a time the sequels are never as good as the first, not in this case. i really dont think i have ever read such heart stopping books. now i just have to wait for eclipse!
Made me cry- but I think that made the book even more compelling. - Rated
I eagerly awaited this book after spending a day reading Twilight, and ordered it as soon as I realised it was not out in the UK bookstores.
It was worth shipping it from Germany; the book was too good to wait for!
Unlike Twilight, this book briefly removes a very much-loved character. This is why, I suppose, many people have given this book a bad review: `Lack of Edward'.
But, don't let this fact stop you from reading it! He had to go, and I understood that straight away. If he hadn't of left, then he would not have been the Edward we know and love. Plus, I strangely found that my eyes were still glued to every page as I watched Bella cope without him.
I think Mrs Meyer (yet again) is very realistic and portrays life the way it is (even though her world contains Vampires, of course!)
This book was beautifully written, and kept me interested until Edward returned. And when he did...it really proved that absence makes the heart grow fonder!
It showed the strength of their love, and New Moon introduces us to some fascinating new characters: Werewolves! Which heightened the excitement and fantasy!
I also really felt Bella's pain throughout her depression, Mrs Meyer made everything feel so real. This 2nd instalment clears the way for Eclipse, which truly blew me away. If you enjoyed Twilight and intend on reading Eclipse, then this book is both necessary to read and worth reading! Don't be put off by the slightly depressing storyline! The new characters make up for the loss, and this story proves Meyer's skill as a true author: she knows her characters. Which, for me, is what makes them so real!
