Great to prepare your child for a hospital visit - Rated I remember Topsy and Tim fondly from my own childhood, and was surprised and delighted to find that the books were available still (or again - I'm not sure if these are new titles or old ones re-issued). My son is not yet 3, so probably below the recommended age for these books, but this one was invaluable for his recent trips into hospital for planned surgery. He was fascinated by what happened to Tim (who bumps his head and gets an Xray), and as a result of reading it, was happy that hospitals (or children's wards, anyway) are friendly, fun places, with great toys, and nice doctors. We read it in the run-up to his hospital stay, and during it, and the story is still a firm favourite. We read it together and talk about what HE did in hospital too. As a GP, I've now bought this one, and 'Topsy and Tim visit the Doctor' for my surgery room toybox. Superb for all small children.
