Readable and practical advice for change managers - Rated Martin Roberts clearly has a wealth of experience in applying NLP techniques to change management situations. In this book he presents that experience clearly and concisely. His writing style is accessible, practical and even chatty. Rather than seek to cover the whole of NLP he wisely concentrates on the techniques which, he believes, are most useful in the business context. The coverage of the Meta Model is excellent and his innovative turning of the "Well Formed Outcome" model into the "Well Formed Problem" and "Well Formed Solution" is a delight - the highlight of the book. He also offers interesting coverage of the use of Logical Levels, Perceptual Positions and time lines in business. If the book lacks anything it is a conclusion. There is no bringing together of his thoughts, ideas and key points. Instead the book ends rather abruptly with an unnecessary critique of TQM and other "packaged" approaches to change management. Overall though, I recommend this book to consultants and managers as part of their change management armoury. It is both readable and practical, and not all management books fit that description !. This book initially appealed to me due to its potential which it seemed to offer and therefore it was purchased. The structure of the book is well presented and follows through its method in a logical sequence, however, it was somewhat heavy in areas which I personally feel might be slightly lighter for the average reader. I enjoyed the content, but feel that maybe for a person who is wanting to read this sort of subject they start with a little more plain speaking book and take this as a secondary book for the future. This book has more to offer to a person who already has a reasonable knowledge of the subject and therefore improves this knowledge. It was very interesting this book on the long and laborious journeys on the aircraft.

Being a consultant in the field of Change Management, I am very interested in trying to expand my knowledge.

This book initially appealed to me due to its potential which it seemed to offer and therefore it was purchased.

The structure of the book is well presented and follows through its method in a logical sequence, however, it was somewhat heavy in areas which I personally feel might be slightly lighter for the average reader.

I enjoyed the content, but feel that maybe for a person who is wanting to read this sort of subject they start with a little more plain speaking book and take this as a secondary book for the future.
