I am a die hard Harry Potter fan and I am always annoying my friends with pointless Wizarding World trivia. This is the reason one of my friends suggested I this book to me after she had seen it in a shop. So I bought it and straight away I was reading. The main point of the book is just to test your HP knowledge but you can also play for points. Each question will have a number, a certain number of lightning bolts, a symbol for the book it is from and the actual question. After you have answered a question, you can look to see if your answer is right by looking up the book number in then answer section in the back of the book. The lightning bolts show how difficult the question is. It can be one - elementary - or two - tricky - or three - expert and the bolts also show how many points you would get. There is a symbol as well showing which book the qwuestion is referring to. This sometimes makes the questions too easy. Like if there was a question saying 'In what year did Professor Lupin teach DADA' and it said that it was from Prisoner of Azkaban - the third book - then it is quite clear that it was in Harry's third year. Some questions aren't very accurate either. There is one question that is 'What is the name of Harry's parent's house?'and the given answer is 'Godric's Hollow' which is completely wronge! It ias never said in the books what Godric's Hollow is, but in a open letter to JK Rowling by HP Lexicon and MuggleNet, JK says that it is a village. Overall, I think this book is pretty good for your average Harry Potter fan. But for an expert like me, it is a little too 'elementary' as the book says. Buy this book if your contented with 'What is Professor McGonagall's first name?' and 'What sort of pet has Hagrid always wanted?' but if you want harder questions to challenge you and make you think, i would carry on looking.
