Customer Reviews

What a waste of time & money! - Rated 1/5
I have never read such a badly written book in my life - is Ms. Mills' mother tongue English?
The slang used, constant repetition, poor historical facts etc make this absolutely the worst book I have ever read.

Yes, I should also have taken notice of the reviews!

Not for the Serious Student of the Romanovs - Rated 1/5
This book is a novel based very loosely on the fate of the Romanovs. It is definitely not worth reading if you are looking for new research into the Imperial family. More of a fantasy with use of unnecessary modern slang in the imagined conversations between the Romanovs.

I should have known better - Rated 1/5
Although I read the reviews on this, I thought it could not be as bad as they said and I wanted to see what theory had been put forward for Olga, having read about Anastasia and Tatiana.
I really could not see the point of the story, if you can call it that. The characters were unbelievable & I am sure did not speak in the way the author depicts. I really could not understand the "mystical" references and how they related and, in the end, the book told the reader nothing that romantic Romanov enthusiasts do not already know or suspect.
I should have taken note of the other reviews and not wasted my money.

abysmal - Rated 1/5
As a keen reader of books on the Romanovs I looked forward to a good read I knew it was fiction and expected some poetic license, but it was just awful.I just cannot believe that this is classed as "what happened" Did the author even do any research on the family before she set pen to paper. Absolutly dire

the worst book of the year - Rated 1/5

If you collect rubbish books here is a real gem. I share completely the previous reviewer's point of view. It is an utterly bizarre and on top most boring book. It is badly written and furthermore it is misleading. It was not at all clear that this just the outpouring of some deranged mind and had nothing whatsoever to do with the historical Grand Duchess Olga. Even tough I hate throwing books away this utter worth book is not going to take space in my library. This book is a waste of time and money. On even worth the paper it was printed on. JUST DO NOT BUY IT, unless you collect rubbish books. Then you might actually have found a gem. It is just utter rubbish!

Good that quite recently the last remains of the memebers seem to have been found. This should put an end to the endless "survival stories". At least the Anastatisa saga was done with style and imagination, but this book is a waste of paper. I am sorry for every tree which had to die for such rubbish.
