Given me the confidence to dip my toe in - Rated
There are not many books on this subject in the UK, so I ordered this as soon as I heard about it. I've read about spreadbetting in the last few weeks and I've also been trading shares traditionally for a good while now. Finally, after reading the author's story, I've now got the confidence to dip my toe in. I have opened my Spreadbet account (on-line) as mentioned in the book, and am looking forward to the £50 referral top-up, and the free training manual, as well as the tiny bet sizes that are available while my confidence grows further.
Great book, and a very enjoyable read indeed. It's taken me a while, but here I go.. can't wait.
A highly readable journey of discovery! - Rated
What Sally manages to capture in this book is the feeling of excitement and despair involved in learning something new.....especially when it involves an uncontrollable tidal flow of profits and losses! Her week-by-week accounts lead to surprising conclusions and are scattered with neatly told social interactions. This is a great book that introduces a lot of technical terms to the novice whilst keeping your interest by showing you a slice of life in North London.
Additionally, Finspreads are still honouring the £50 cashback offer when you buy this book.
Not so great - Rated
This is more of a fictional account of a girl in the city. If you think it will teach you about the markets then walk away now.
An entertaining book, full of useful advice - Rated
Ever dreamed of quitting the rat race and working from home?
The book chart's the author's highs and lows as she tries to do just that! She uses uses spreadbetting, where you bet on whether the price of financial instruments such as stocks, currencies and precious metals will rise or fall.
The book is both an entertaining read and a great introduction to spreadbetting, and will help you avoid many easily-made beginners' mistakes.
Totally absorbing - Rated
I couldn't really understand how anybody could hope to write an engaging and entertaining book about spread-trading but so many people had rated it so highly that I decided to order it anyway. I'm glad I did because I've been glued to it for the past three days. I was cooking chili con carne last night and I forgot to add the kidney beans because I was so engrossed!
